Fun for the whole family at Ponderosa
Campground
While the Campground is
quite large, we have tried to maintain an opportunity
for you to discover and enjoy nature. We keep as
many trees as possible, have lots of room for you to
walk or ride a bike, and encourage you to have a safe
campfire. We have a propane filling station and a dumping station
as well as a large baseball field along the main road
into the park. The campground is patrolled by a security
guard at night to keep you safe and to ensure our
quiet times are adhered to by all campers.

We have 6 camping areas. Sleepy Hollow, Chuck Wagon
Circle, and Buffalo Bay are primarily serviced with
power, water and sewer hook ups. Rodeo Range, has sites
with power, water and sewer or just power and water
hook ups. Branding Bay and Boot Hill are for tents
or tent trailers that do not require hook ups. You
can enjoy the range of convenience, from a full serviced
site (including telephone service if desired for a
seasonal campsite), to a wilderness campsite, whichever
suites your camping needs.
These camping facilities house
160 seasonal camping families (some of which were
there when we bought the park), about 60 serviced sites
and a similar amount of sites without hook ups which
we use for our occasional camping friends staying for
1 night or up to a few weeks. Both seasonal and occasional
camping families enjoy all the facilities in the
park as well as the many summer activities. |
